Christopher Kringle Jr.

so i have made santa claus's kid in chris kringle jr. I tried to make santa claus on facebook and it would not let me. I then had to change the name around and spelling to eventually get approved. I am going to link together a blog posting, facebook account, and a twitter account. I have just recently established a twitter account so i ill have to incorporate more information there in the twitter account of later material. I have posted pictures on facebook and my blogs help tell my story. I have befriended a lot of my own friends on facebook and have also used my actual facebook account to interact with my fictional facebook account. I will try to post my blog page and twitter account on my facebook account, making my facebook account the main source of the identity. CHRIS KRINGLE

Fun and Fictional

By creating my profile to be a fictional character, maybe Santa Claus, i think i will be able to chat with various people. Everyone loves Santa Claus and instead of focusing on all the negative in the world i can try to bring some laugher and entertainment to the people that become my friend. I can also easily track where in the world I would be living and going on Google Maps, and there are all kinds of pictures of Santa that are easy to use. I love christmas, and if i could spend everyday celebrating christmas, i definitely think i would. Santa lives in the North Pole, has lots of elves as friends, and has friends throughout the world. He delivers toys and presents, and generally spreads cheer throughout the world.

Reflecting on 3rd project

I think that i am going to make a completely fictional character. I thought about making Santa Clause, because I truly love christmas, and i think that i would be able to creatively make up a lot of stories and life. Also with all the movies that have been made about the north pole and santa, i would have a good base of ideas, personalities, and background information. I also thought about just doing a Disney character because i love disney movies and each character they create is usually dynamic and would be easy to create a persona from. In either circumstance i could take the foundation that is already well known to the public and personalize it, adding my own unique, interesting details. I would want the character to be somewhat well known, which would make gaining friends really easy. Also people usually are intrigued to be-friend a fictional character. Figuring out the background, personal information on a fictional character is very appealing and amusing.

Reflective Text

This project was definitely frustrating at times. Trying to organize data from three different places and combining this data in a logical and functional pattern was challenging to say the least. I love the final product though. I love making something that in interactive and it is definitely neat to go through the story now that it is done. I have a better appreciation for web design and webpage layout now. I feel like before I took for granted search engines and other resources that I frequently use. I now understand the amount of time and effort along with strategic planning that goes into making a cyber-narrative. The most beneficial aspect in the project for me what creating the site map. It enabled me to already have a flow of the narrative that I wanted and also how to bridge the narrative together.

Breaking into the cyber world

My story is definitely going to play out as an agency in which the reader can choose the path they want to take. Even if the every path ends up at the same result the way in which the reader reaches the final end point makes all the difference. There is not strategy as in there is no one choice that is better than another, but each choice will come with different consequences. By formating my story this way I will be able to engage the reader in the experience of reading and have the reader play an active role in the reading process. At the end of the story the reader will be able to start again creating a sense of replay within the story. The pictures will be added as visual representation of the written text. If I am describing using my toeside edge of my snowboard then I will show a person actually using their toeside edge and which will connect the reader even deeper into the experience. The pictures could also be used as the path guiders in that people could choose a picture to transition them into the next sequence of story. At each transition I will put two pictures that the reader can choose from and by choosing one of the pictures a new segment of the story will appear. This will effectively utilize not only the hyper link portion of our assignment but also the image portion as well. By incorporating all three aspects I will be fulfilling the requirements of the course as well as creating a multifaceted reading experience.
